Our plastic promise

We believe that you should be able to enjoy fine foods without leaving a legacy of waste that’ll be hanging around in the ground, oceans and air for the next few thousand years...

Because of this, not only do We package our products in 100% plastic free, BIODEGRADABLE and/or recyclable packaging that is made from SUSTAINaBLE plant based MATERIALS, everything is also made without using any single-use plastics in our production processes.

Still we know we can always do more so we’re constantly looking at our packing and the waste we make.

Because the planet did a pretty great job at giving us the chocolate that we all adore so we’d best look after it if we want more!

Our packaging

Below you’ll find just what goes into our packing and how you can dispose of it.

CHOCOLATE bars

ALL OF OUR BARS are wrapped in a food grade polished paper inner wrapper for freshness with an uncoated paper outer wrapper with paper labels, we even use tissue tape to seal it! All of this can be either recycled or composted.

hoT cHOCOLATE

Our drinking chocolates are heat sealed in plastic free bio-film bags for freshness and then popped into cardboard containers to keep it safe. The containers can be recycled or even better reused and the bags ideally composted or popped into your general waste bin, safe in the knowledge it’ll soon breakdown without leaving anything nasty hanging around for GENERATIONS to come.

tRUFFLES, BONBONS, Fudge and MARSHMALLOWS

Much like the hot chocolates, these are packed in heat sealed plastic free bio-film bags for freshness and then popped into cardboard containers to keep it safe. lIKEWISE The containers can be recycled or even better reused and the bags ideally composted or popped into your general waste bin safe in the knowledge it’ll soon breakdown without leaving anything nasty hanging around for GENERATIONS to come.

Gift boxes

These are slightly different. The outer boxes are made from a SPECIAL card that uses fibres from the husks of cacao pods and beans which are a natural waste BY-PRODUCT from the chocolate production process, which helps reduce the amount of virgin PLANT MATtER HARVESTED each year. Everything else is made from paper & card, but it’s all COMPLETELY recyclable.
